In 2014, I began preparing federal and resident state and local tax returns for family and friends only. I enjoyed the challenge, and never sought to charge a fee. But, as time went on and I began to follow my business partners, Tax Box Pro, on social media, and watch their company grow, I realized that my skills could have a lucrative outcome as well. So now, with a gentle nudge from my daughters, I am ready to venture out on my own! I am ready to develop other entrepreneurs in the business of Family First Tax Services.
Outside of my business, I am an all-around family person, which is how I came up with the name for my business. I am a mother of two daughters, a grandmother of three, and an aunt to a host of nieces and nephews. I enjoy spending time with my mother, my auntie, and my father and his wife.

Hello, I am Courtney Butcher the Brand Ambassador and Marketing Manager for Family First Tax Services.
In 2014, I began collaborating with my mother providing taxes services for family band friends, which led to our family businesses. Over the years I have gained a significant amount of knowledge about her services and utilized them for the family business.

However, before Family First Tax Services, I was in the Health Industry working for organizations such as; John Hopkins, Christiana Care health system, and Union Memorial Hospital. Currently, I am a personal caretaker for my grandmother. This summer I am anticipating entering the KCD program to become an Emergency Medical Technician. So, for now, I’m raising my children during a pandemic along with working for the family business utilizing my marketing and branding skills.
